OrthoWilmington is currently accepting resumes for a full-time (36-40 hours/week) Certified Medical Assistant, or LPN. Responsibilities include monitoring physician schedule to ensure adequate patient/clinic flow, assisting with documentation, preparation for patient for exam, participation in minor procedures, preparation of injections, and prepares exam and treatment rooms for physician use. Position will also act as backup to Care Coordinator role (call center position coordinating triage calls and physician scheduling). The position requires constant interaction with patients and physicians. Applying candidates must be a Certified Medical Assistant or LPN with a minimum of two years of experience. Ideal candidate will hold previous experience in orthopedics and/or casting. Candidate must possess a team oriented 'can do' attitude, excellent communication/organizational skills and be able to thrive in a fast paced, sometimes stressful environment. Position may be required to provide own transportation to travel within Wilmington/Leland/Porter's Neck areas to multiple office sites.

Qualified candidates should have 3-5 years’ experience in orthopaedics and/or sports medicine. Previous surgery experience is required. Position will involve working in the clinic, assisting in the operating room, and call coverage with a supervising physician. Excellent assessment skills and a strong work ethic required. Applicants must be eligible for certification or be certified by the National Commission for Certification of Physician’s Assistants and licensed by the State Board of Medicine in North Carolina. Membership in Association of Physician’s Assistant Programs is desirable.
