Orthopaedic NP / PA

OrthoWilmington, the region’s most comprehensive center for orthopaedic care, has several excellent opportunities for part-time and full-time Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants.

We offer patients a complete range of orthopaedic services, specialties and technologies unmatched in the region. OrthoWilmington’s medical team includes 23 board certified and/or fellowship trained specialists working with 21 mid-level providers across 9 office locations to help our patients to move better and live better.

Qualified candidates should have 3-5 years’ experience in orthopaedics.  Position will involve working in the clinic of a satellite office diagnosing and treating a variety of orthopaedic conditions.  Excellent assessment skills and a strong work ethic required. Applicants must be eligible for certification or be certified by the National Commission for Certification of Nurse Practitioners/Physician Assistants and licensed by the State Board of Medicine in North Carolina. Membership in the American Association of Nurse Practitioners/Physician’s Assistant Programs is desirable.

Certified Medical Assistant

OrthoWilmington is currently accepting resumes for full-time (36-40 hours/week) Certified Medical Assistant, or LPN for our New Hanover and Brunswick County office locations! Responsibilities include monitoring physician schedule to ensure adequate patient/clinic flow, assisting with documentation, preparation for patient for exam, participation in minor procedures, preparation of injections, and prepares exam and treatment rooms for physician use.  Position may also act as backup to Care Coordinator role (call center position coordinating triage calls and physician scheduling). The position requires constant interaction with patients and physicians. Applying candidates must be a Certified Medical Assistant or LPN with a minimum of two years of experience. Ideal candidate will hold previous experience in orthopedics and/or casting.  Candidate must possess a team oriented 'can do' attitude, excellent communication/organizational skills and be able to thrive in a fast paced, sometimes stressful environment. Position may be required to provide own transportation to travel within Wilmington/Brunswick County/Porter's Neck areas to multiple office sites. Trauma Surgeon – Orthopaedic – Wilmington, NC

OrthoWilmington has an excellent opportunity for a full-time trauma surgeon to join a well-established orthopaedic private practice in Wilmington, NC.  Our specialty group of 23 Fellowship-trained, Board-certified orthopaedic physicians offer the most comprehensive orthopaedic care in the region.

POSITION REQUIRMENTS:

  • Fellowship Training-Trauma, Board Eligible, Board Certified
  • Should be comfortable with Pelvic/Acetabula/Long bone surgery/Revision of mal unions and nonunions.
  • On-call (includes trauma & orthopaedic group) approx. 2-3 times per month.
